We took a walking tour today of the Alhambra, which is the 14th -16th century palace complex at top top of the hill overlooking all of Granada.
Spectacular gardens everywhere, filled with heavily scented roses, jasmine, and plants of every description.
The buildings filled with architectural details in every corner and wall.
After the 3-hour tour, some members of the group headed back towards the hotel for sustenance and refreshment, also the swimming pool and maybe a nap,. The hardier souls kept walking down the hill to the historic center of town.
In the evening, we dressed up and danced! Well, we watched dancing anyway. First we hiked up to the top of a hill viewpoint in an old part of town for a fabulous sunset view of the city and the Alhambra.

Then dinner and a traditional flamenco show in Cueva de la Rocio. Ole!!
