It was a long bus ride to Barcelona, but once we finally arrived, our visit to the Sagrada Familia basilica made it all worth it! The architecture, the exterior detail, the interior stained glass - overwhelmingly beautiful and interesting and magnificent!
After the tour of the basilica, we took a little driving tour through central Barcelona, checking out the fancy shopping districts, the large public squares, and drove up to the top of the viewpoint to see the city from way up high.

We hit a major traffic jam on the way to our hotel way up in the mountains of Montserrat. Everybody was feeling a little testy, but a nice dinner and a glass of red wine helped. Off to bed!
A few stalwart souls went for a walk in the moonlight to check out the view of the distant city lights.
